If it weren’t one solid landmass, it would be easy to divide Asia into several distinct continents. The cultural diversity is incredible, from Asia Minor to South East Asia, the Indian Subcontinent, the Middle East, the vast northern regions… it’s a part of the world you could return to a thousand times over and still not see everything on your list. Here are a few of our favourite destinations:
Turkey
It’s difficult to pick just one location in this country–as the threshold of Europe and Asia, not to mention one of the most historically important parts of the world, all of Turkey is a delight for your senses. Istanbul bursts with colour. The Aegean coast boasts incredible beaches and sailing opportunities. In the interior, the ivory cliffs of Pamukkale are stunning in the blazing sunlight. The curious landforms in the Capadoccia region invite travellers to explore, trek, climb. The local culture has been moulded and shaped over millenia by passing groups of settlers. We could attempt to explain the feeling of awe that this ancient land instills, but you’ll just have to see it for yourself.
